To be sure, Paul wrote very heavy with theological truth but always with the heart of a pastor, as one always concerned about the well being of God's people.
Eternal life, forgiveness for sins, the right reason for living, salvation from dead works toward God, and a delight in God all find a commonality in the door unlocked by faith.
I looked down at Jesus that day but I will look up to the Lord of glory forevermore. I hope you have done the same. Peace!
In verse 16 he goes on to tell us that "By common confession, great is the mystery of godliness." In other words, we all know that godliness boggles the mind, when we stop to think about it. How in the world have I been made righteous enough to stand before the God that is said to be a consuming fire?
