Make no mistake, the humility that accompanies salvation is not something that just happens, Paul said that he determined to know nothing.
Teach-ability is a very necessary characteristic because any person that is not teachable cannot be humble either. Those who are not teachable believe themselves to be right about everything.; no one who believes himself to be right about everything is humble. Humility is an absolute necessity for anyone who wants to walk with God.
To be sure, Paul wrote very heavy with theological truth but always with the heart of a pastor, as one always concerned about the well being of God's people.
"Salvation makes sense of the non sense of this present world. It opens the eyes of the natural man and gives sight to the blind man, who was formerly bound by sin."
In verse 16 he goes on to tell us that "By common confession, great is the mystery of godliness." In other words, we all know that godliness boggles the mind, when we stop to think about it. How in the world have I been made righteous enough to stand before the God that is said to be a consuming fire?
No one is ever to judge as though sitting in the seat of judgment that belongs to God alone.
Yes, we are to work out our salvation but it is GOD that works within us to work and to will.

If knowing Jesus is not intensely personal then you do not know Jesus at all. If knowing Jesus does not dis-annul all other things as a mean of getting to heaven, then you do not know Jesus at all. If knowing Jesus does not make the way to heaven cleknowing_jesusar, then you do not know Jesus at all. To turn away from the light of conscience brings guilt before God. To turn away from the light provided by God’s special revelation as revealed in His law brings even greater guilt and condemnation. To turn away from the light of the gospel brings the greatest condemnation of all.
