Every once in a while a story comes along that speaks to the plight of man on multiple levels, and such is the case with the movie PASSENGERS.
Teach-ability is a very necessary characteristic because any person that is not teachable cannot be humble either. Those who are not teachable believe themselves to be right about everything.; no one who believes himself to be right about everything is humble. Humility is an absolute necessity for anyone who wants to walk with God.
The unrighteousness of men is never more evident than when men refuse to acknowledge that God is the supreme person of the universe. How do they do that ? In an age of scientific evolution, which is just an extension of the age old Pantheism that confuses the eternal, self-existent, all-powerful God with His creation, it is painfully obvious.
Man in his sinful condition could never merit heaven anymore than he could create himself. It is only man's sinful pride that tells him something different.

In verse 16 he goes on to tell us that "By common confession, great is the mystery of godliness." In other words, we all know that godliness boggles the mind, when we stop to think about it. How in the world have I been made righteous enough to stand before the God that is said to be a consuming fire?
“I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you." (John 14:18) I was raised in a home with two very devoted parents. As children during the great depression, they were very careful about spending, saving, and family ties. As participants of World War II they were strong, self-sacrificing, and mature. I grew … Continue reading The Source of Great Insecurity
We live during a time of great controversy, when dividing lines have been drawn in the sand, and the public outcry is one of anger. Yes, we are to work out our salvation but it is GOD that works within us to work and to will.
The family is designated by God as the core unit of society, whereby parents are to teach God's truth to their children. A country is only as strong as its families. Families are only as strong as their faith in God, as individuals and a unit. So it is that God said, “You shall love … Continue reading A FAMILY TRUST

In my previous blog I spoke of our need, as the true Church, to be of the same mind with our brothers in Christ. So then, what steps can be taken that will help to bring us together, in light of this present political climate. First, we must begin by controlling our tongue. Railing accusations against … Continue reading HOW TO BE OF ONE MIND
A HARD TO HEAR MESSAGE Does the Bible actually say be of one mind? Is that possible? Only if there is a God, and only if He can fill His people with His Holy Spirit and with power. There are a few more "if's" in the scripture where this truth is found. "Therefore if you … Continue reading BE OF ONE MIND?
